Our Story
Scenic Paints is a division of Scenic Studios Australia, who is an Australian manufacturer and supplier of specialist scenic paints and fire retardants in Australia. Available in a wide range of high pigment colours and supplied in convenient container sizes from 0.8 litre to 15 litres.
Our paints are specially formulated to be flexible, especially useful for theatre backdrops and movie set painting.
The paint has been developed by an artist for the artist.
It has been modified, improved and tested over a period of 30 years.

Scenic Artists Ross Turner and Paul Kathner started
Scenic Studios back in the 70’s. Brendan Pierce took over the studio in 2016 to continue the tradition of scenic painting that Ross and Paul taught him over 25 years
when he was under their wing.
Scenic Paints were developed over this time to paint backdrops and scenery for theatre and film.
